In the heart of a southern land
Where spinifex waves and desert oaks stand
Cirrus clouds in feathery strands
Look over a river of sand

Sinking sun in a purple night
The full moon rises like a lantern bright
Feel the pull of an ancient sight
Look up to a river of stars

And how do we make this night last
Hold on to all that we've seen?

I'll paint the stars
I'll sing the river
I'll dance the wind in the trees
I'll write the songbird's chime
In rhythm and rhyme
And capture a moment in time

Trace a path to a different day
The landscape has weathered
But the feeling is the same
Hear the song and find your way

Hearts aflame as we looked around
